Recent passage of new laws reflect changes in wage claim releases, exemptions for computer professionals, and text messaging. Poole and Koegle will review recent California case law pertaining to meal and rest periods, non-resident employee compensation and non-compete agreements.
Federal law updates on recent changes to the FMLA requirements, mileage reimbursement rules, revised I-9 authorization and GINA will also be discussed.
The February luncheon is sponsored by College of the Canyons and includes an overview of the community college.
