The recent spring-like winter weather is due to continue through most of the week, with highs topping out around 76 degrees Wednesday in the Santa Clarita Valley and mostly sunny skies until Friday.

Breezy conditions are expected, with northeast wind gusts 20-25 mph through Wednesday, National Weather Service forecasters said Monday.

A slight chance of rain is forecast Friday with highs expected around 69 degrees.

Forecasters warned of high fire danger due to warm and dry conditions, as well as a danger of rip currents off the beaches.

A cold low-pressure system approaching the area means the potential for light to moderate rainfall through the weekend, followed by heavier showers and lowering snow levels on Monday.
