The promise of capitalism

I write this not to besmirch, but to lift up.

To the extent that Gary Horton laments capitalism in his Jan. 9 column, "A bad day for good taste in Santa Clarita," I praise capitalism for the freedom it allows us, and our souls, to achieve our purpose in life.

Free market capitalism is the best way for the Holy Spirit to work in us.

Pity not the restaurant owner who merely finds another place to serve. The fact that the new location is beyond a gerrymandered mind is no reason for capitalism to fall.

How can one man, or even many, know what is best for us all? This is where I believe free market capitalism stands tall.

Go where you can, go where you might, but always go where your soul delights.

Your steps, laid out in advance, may be wonderful or even a fight – but remember – the promise He has made is for eternity, not dinner tonight.
