A small brush fire in Canyon Country near Soledad Canyon Road and Stone Crest Drive charred about one acre before being extinguished this morning, a fire official confirmed.

The fire broke out at 10:56 a.m., said Los Angeles County Fire Department spokeswoman Stephanie English.

The fire was in a wash in the area, and no structures were threatened or damaged, officials said.

Fire Department officials had a first-alarm response to the fire due to potential high winds in the area. The fire was fully contained by 11:25 a.m., English said.

The cause of the fire was unknown.
