Residents along Cardiff Drive near Circle J Ranch might have noticed a constant flow of dump trucks in their neighborhood this week.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works is cleaning out a drainage basin behind the housing development, said Marty Lemus, flood control supervisor.

Lemus said the work is several years overdue and there is a substantial amount of debris to remove from the basin, which is near the intersection of Cardiff Drive and Birmingham Place.
