The Knights of Columbus, Santa Clarita Assembly 2421, recently attended the ribbon cutting and dedication of the Cybercafé Computers that were installed at the Sepulveda Department of Veteran’s Affairs in North Hills.

The Knights were extremely proud to have been the financial sponsor of this event, said the Assembly’s Faithful Navigator Mark Maynez.

The computers allow the user to not only surf the web but more importantly to track their medical records and contact their doctor. Many of the veterans are excited to use the computers in a “safe” environment of the VA said Voluntary Service Specialist Larry Foster.

Foster’s boss Chief Marianne Davis agreed and said the Knights of Columbus were instrumental in making this happen for the veterans that use the VA.

The Knights of Columbus 4th degree Assembly is the patriotic arm of the Order.

The Assembly is active in a variety of local events including maintaining the flags at the Veteran’s Memorial Plaza, providing engraved bricks at the Memorial for our fallen and wounded soldiers, sponsoring the VA and also financially assisting in the building of the Joshua Tree Desert Refuge for Military and Law Enforcement personnel to name a few. The annual golf tournament sponsored by the Knights provides funding to support the patriotic efforts of the Assembly.
