A storm has pushed its way into Southern California, causing flooding in some areas and snarling holiday traffic in others.

The wet weather greeted Monday morning commuters and made for difficult driving conditions. A big rig crashed in Sylmar shortly before 1:30 a.m., causing a fuel leak and forced the closure of Interstate 5 for more than three hours.

Elsewhere another big rig collided with a car on Interstate 405 just before 3 a.m., closing most lanes for a couple of hours.

The rain is expected to move quickly through the area, but return Wednesday.
