SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Orange County prosecutors say they've charged a 66-year-old man with having illegal weapons and materials to make pipe bombs in his home.

District attorney's spokeswoman Farrah Emami says Baylor Eldric Maggenti of Costa Mesa was arrested Monday at his home after police received a tip that he had explosives and searched his work-home space.

Maggenti didn't have any completed, assembled bombs, but police say he had explosive powder, fuses, galvanized pipes and other items that can be used to make pipe bombs.

Police say they also found a short-barrel shotgun and an assault weapon in Maggenti's home.

If convicted of the three felony charges he faces, Maggenti could be sentenced with up to five years and four months in prison.

Maggenti is being held on $150,000 bail.
