A section of Lake Hughes Road in Castaic was closed to traffic Tuesday morning after utility wire were reported to be draped low across lanes, the California Highway Patrol confirmed.
Shortly before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, CHP officers responded to Lake Hughes Road north of Castaic Reservoir Road for lines reportedly two to three feet above the ground, a CHP spokesman said.
Responding officers called on Caltrans to close the road near mile marker 13.12.
At around the same time, the CHP issued a wind advisory for an area north of Lake Hughes near Templin Highway.
