Santa arrives in just nine days! Make sure you track Santa’s progress throughout the world on the special NORAD webpage devoted to Santa’s seasonal journey. Visit www. www.noradsanta.org.

Light Tour Winners

Thank you to all the fabulous Santa Clarita Valley families who entered The Signal’s 18th annual Holiday Light Tour. We did it a little differently this year with a combination of judges and reader votes. It was great fun and I think everyone will agree that the winners are the best of the best and truly deserving of the title World Champions of Lights! To find the complete list of winners visit www.signalscv.com/section/43/article/83749/ and to check out the judges route (and follow in our footsteps) visit www.signalscv.com/section/43/article/83753/.

Kudos to all!

All of our Light Tour entrants deserve a huge round of applause for the extraordinary efforts you’ve made with your lighting displays! Good job all around. It made for a difficult judging process! Kudos to: DaleA, Hasson, McDiffett, Tisdell, Willcox, James, Winchester, Molster, NanaL, Hallak, Leidholdt, Ferguson, Tolentino, Caple, Deloria, Evanoff, The Kleszcz Family, Tyree, Frost Family Christmas...In Memory of Joel Frost, Haywood, Hobbs, Maddux, Hannemann and Wood. I don’t want to forget our fabulous street entrants either! Kudos to Alyssum Lane, Ash Court, Canterwood/Cross Creek, Essex Place and Wakefield Court.

Youth Film Projects

The Santa Clarita Valley Film Festival will present a premiere showcase of Youth Film Projects alongside a digital exhibit of graphic design work made by youth in the Santa Clarita Valley. The screening will be held 5 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Repertory East Playhouse in Newhall.

This unique event provides an opportunity to celebrate the digital films and design creations that a wide variety of youth, ages 9-17, have produced and created over the last several months. Free to the public with a suggested donation of $5 to help support future classes. For more information about the SCV Film Festival visit www.scvfilmfestival.com.
