In a unanimous vote, members of the William S. Hart Union High School District board selected Joe Messina to serve as the board’s president for the coming year.

Messina has served as the clerk of the board for the past year. He replaces Gloria Mercado-Fortine as president.

Board member Steve Sturgeon was unanimously elected to take over Messina’s position as clerk at Wednesday night’s meeting. Paul Strickland was voted to another year as assistant clerk.
