A two-vehicle collision in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Calgrove Boulevard sparked a car fire and jammed up traffic on northbound lanes during afternoon rush hour Wednesday.
Traffic was backed up to Roxford Street following the crash shortly after 4:15 p.m., California Highway Patrol officials reported.
All lanes were shut down for about 10 minutes after two vehicles collided on the freeway, sparking a fire in one of the vehicles, the CHP reported.
No one was hurt in the crash or the fire, a CHP spokeswoman said.
By 4:40 p.m., traffic resumed along the car pool lane, but other lanes remained closed as trucks removed the automotive wreckage.
Traffic was flowing again by shortly after 6 p.m.
