Despite drizzling rain, Mayor Frank Ferry and members of the Santa Clarita City Council invited residents and community members to "Hit the Trail" Saturday morning. Hit the Trail was a community bike ride ending in a rally at Bridgeport Park. The bike ride followed the city's trail system and had three starting points around Santa Clarita. Once at the rally, attendees were treated to free lunch, entertainment and giveaways. Mayor Frank Ferry lead the portion of the ride from Valencia High School and Councilman Bob Kellar rode from the Canyon Country starting point at Camp Plenty Road and Soledad Canyon.
