Three Santa Clarita Valley girls volleyball players made the All-CIF list, which was released Tuesday.

Those included on the Southern Section Division IA team were Foothill League Player of the Year Delaney Knudsen of Valencia and Hart senior libero Katie Baker.

Santa Clarita Christian senior Christina Keoshian was the third local All-CIF selection as she was selected for Southern Section Division VAA.

Knudsen was voted league player of the year after helping the Vikings win a Foothill crown and finish the season 25-11.

“Wow,” Knudsen said upon finding out she was All-CIF. “I don’t know. I’m shocked.”

The senior outside hitter was a jack of all trades this season. She demonstrated her hitting abilities with 361 kills and her defensive abilities with 292 digs. She also spent time as a setter, tallying 219 assists and she occasionally helped out up front with 28 1/2 blocks.

“I never ranked myself equivalent to some of the teams that are out there so it’s an honor to be listed with some of them,” Knudsen said.

This past summer, she became the SCV’s first athlete to ever receiver a scholarship to play beach volleyball when she committed to Pepperdine University.

She’ll play for the Waves next season.

Baker was the heart and soul of the defense of Hart, which finished tied for second in Foothill and ended up with an 19-10 record.

She filled in very well for departed libero Cassidy Fitzpatrick, who graduated last year.

Baker was voted to the All-Foothill first team.

As for Keoshian, the do-everything player helped lead SCCS rally for a co-Heritage League title and a place in the CIF-SS Division VAA quarterfinals.

The Cardinals finished the season 13-13.
