Millan, who recently bought a 43-acre property in Saugus, is known for his popular "Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan" program on the National Geographic TV channel. He has also published numerous books and videos that espouse his holistic, pack-based approach to dog training.
Originally from Mexico, Millan shot to prominence in 2004 with his TV show, which walks viewers through how to take a calm but assertive stance towards dogs in order to teach boundaries and limitations and correct unwanted behavior.
On Friday, Millan was shooting a series of lessons relating to preparing your home for a new puppy, which included information on house training, obedience, and the different stages of development.
The program will be available later this year via his Web site, www.cesarmillaninc.com.
Millan eventually plans to move his Dog Psychology Center to his Saugus property from its most recent location in South Los Angeles.
The DPC, which has temporarily shut down pending the move, rehabilitates dogs with severe aggression, anxiety, fear or other behavioral issues, and provides education for dog owners.
