A 30-year-old Canyon Country man was booked for domestic battery after his wife apparently tried to leave the couple’s home with another man during a partner-swapping tryst, a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Department report said.

The Canyon Country couple met a younger couple in a bar Thursday night and took them home to their residence, where the husband went upstairs with the younger woman and his 29-year-old wife went downstairs with the younger man, the sheriff’s report said.

The male homeowner later went downstairs for unknown reasons and found the two exiting the bathroom, asked what they were doing, and ordered the younger man to leave, the report said.
He did so.

A fight erupted when the homeowner’s wife tried to go with the exiled man.

“The (wife) attempted to leave, but the suspect stood in the doorway preventing her from leaving,” deputies wrote.
So she left the house through the garage.

“As she exited the door the suspect grabbed her hair and pulled her backward, causing her to hit her head on the stucco wall,” deputies wrote.

The younger woman stepped in to break up the fight while the wife grabbed her cellphone and called the Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies found her standing on a street corner near her home around 3:30 a.m. Friday.
They wrote in final notes of their report: “We believe alcohol was a factor in this incident.”
