A Canyon Country woman was treated at a hospital for a laceration to her hand suffered in an assault Sunday morning, a local sheriff’s sergeant said.
By Sunday evening, deputies of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were still investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
“It was a woman, her boyfriend and an ex-girlfriend. They got into a tussle. Now, she’s being medically treated at (Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial) hospital,” said Sgt. Rich Nagler of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“It’s minor injuries, a cut to the hand.”
About 11:30 a.m., paramedics of the Los Angeles County Fire Department were called to a location, east of Sand Canyon Road.
They notified sheriff’s deputies shortly after assessing the victim.
Deputies were dispatched to the hospital where they interviewed the victim.
