A Canyon Country woman is being treated at hospital for a laceration to her hand suffered in an assault Sunday morning, a local sheriff’s sergeant said.

“It was a woman, her boyfriend and an ex-girlfriend. They got into a tussle. Now, she’s being medically treated at (Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial) hospital,” said Sgt. Rich Nagler of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“It’s minor injuries, a cut to the hand.”

About 11:30 a.m., paramedics of the Los Angeles County Fire Department were called to a location, east of Sand Canyon Road.

They notified sheriff’s deputies shortly after assessing the victim.

Deputies were dispatched to both the hospital where they interviewed the victim.
