The Los Angeles County Office of Education has scheduled Dec. 11 as the date the Albert Einstein Academy of Letters, Arts and Sciences will appeal the denial of its elementary school charter.
Einstein Academy’s appeal of the Saugus Union School District decision is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Office of Education’s headquarters at 9300 Imperial Highway in Downey.
Einstein has unsuccessfully applied for a for an elementary school in the Santa Clarita Valley for the past two years.
The Saugus district, Newhall School District and Los Angeles Unified School District have all denied Einstein’s requests.
Einstein is already chartered to run a middle school and high school in the William S. Hart Union High School District.
