There were six reported Part-1 crimes in Castaic / Val Verde. There were two tractor trailers stolen from Castaic Rd., one from the Castaic Truck Stop and one from The Pilot Travel Center. There was one alcohol related assault where one person was arrested after hitting a family member with a bat. There were two reported burglaries, a residential burglary occurred off of Pine Crest Place and a vehicle burglary occurred at Castaic Storage on The Old Road. There was one reported larceny of alcohol from the Ralph’s grocery store.

Notable Arrests: Working off of a detailed initial investigation by Santa Clarita patrol deputies, the Sheriff’s Department’s Cargo Criminal Apprehension Team arrested four suspects in connection with the tractor trailer theft from the Pilot Travel Center.
