The warm Thanksgiving Day weekend weather that had Santa Clarita Valley residents shopping in shorts and flip-flops is expected to give way to rain later this week, National Weather Service forecasters say.
Sunshine is due to linger through Tuesday with highs near 68.
But by Tuesday night, clouds will begin to move into the area, and by late Wednesday afternoon there will be a 60 percent chance of rain accompanied by southwest winds gusting up to 15 mph.
Highs will be near 63 on Wednesday and 62 on Thursday.
A 30 percent chance of rain will linger into Thursday, diminishing to a 20 percent by Thursday night. Lows will be around 47.
But the weekend will be chilly with a chance of rain and highs in the 60s under mostly cloudy skies.
