PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — Six people have been injured in a crash involving two Pasadena police helicopters.
A spokeswoman for the Pasadena Fire Department said the six, all believed to be police personnel, sustained minor injuries after the crash occurred at the police heliport around 4 p.m. Saturday.
Lisa Derderian said the injured were taken to a hospital for evaluations. She said she didn't know whether the helicopters were airborne or on the ground when the crash occurred.
A police spokesman said he had no immediate details on the circumstances that led to the accident. Sgt. Ed Calatayud said the department will notify the FAA to investigate the cause of the crash.
