Letter: What can be done to help Sandy victims?

Are we doing all we should for the people hit by (Superstorm) Sandy? I know the Red Cross and FEMA are there, but still I wonder.

Is it possible, for example, for oil to be dispensed directly from oil tankers?

If so, the oil companies should be redirecting a great many tankers away from unaffected areas and send them to New York and New Jersey.

If oil cannot be dispensed from tankers, then perhaps they can be refitted to make that possible.

If it can’t be done in time to help Sandy’s victims, perhaps it should be done to help in future disasters.

I’m just wondering.
