Winners from the “Gotta Regatta!” creative essay writing and poster contest were announced at the 10th Annual Rubber Ducky Festival on Oct. 27. Students from throughout the Santa Clarita Valley participated in the contest, which was sponsored by the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers Inc.
One winner from each participating school was selected from a panel of judges to receive a commemorative trophy; all students participating received a participation ribbon.
Participating teachers were entered into a random drawing to receive a $200 classroom grant. Deanna Tapia from Golden Oak Community School was selected to receive the grant.
