Experienced or newly credentialed teachers who would like to teach in any of the four local school districts are invited to attend the annual SCV Teacher Recruitment Fair from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Rancho Pico Junior High in Stevenson Ranch. Interviews may be scheduled for those who pre-register on-line. Workshops will assist participants interested in pursuing a teaching credential. Positions are available for grades K-12.

Grant-making seminar planned
College of the Canyons will host a free fundraising seminar, "Meet the Grant Makers," 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday with fundraising experts Adrienne Wittenberg of the S. Mark Taper Foundation and Tony Newhall from the Henry Mayo Newhall Foundation, who will share their foundations' funding priorities and grant-making guidelines.

The seminar will offer a rare opportunity for local non-profit organizations and higher-education institutions to meet one-on-one with the people who know all there is to know about grant writing and how to be successful.

The seminar will take place in the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center on campus. A pre-seminar reception will be held at 9:30 a.m. To R.S.V.P., call (661) 362-3644 or e-mail Theresa Zuzevich at theresa.zuzevich@canyons.edu.
