The City of Santa Clarita is encouraging community members 18 years of age or older to apply for one of seven available positions on the Newhall Redevelopment Committee.

Those interested in applying must do so by Monday, March 2 at 5:00 p.m.

The Committee is made up of 13 members with an interest in redevelopment issues within Newhall.

Members are involved in a number of important issues and advise the Santa Clarita Redevelopment Agency on the revitalization projects that are proposed within the Newhall area.

The Committee also assists with the implementation of the Downtown Newhall Specific Plan, designed to help transform Old Town Newhall into a thriving, mixed-use, pedestrian-oriented Arts & Entertainment District.
