Carmen, who's blind from cataracts, is looking for a special person to live with the rest of her life. She's a 9-year-old Lhasa Apso in good physical health. Carmen loves to go on walks and has a slight amount of shadow vision. It would be best for Carmen to be in a quiet home with no other animals or young children.

Paralyzed from her waist down, Faith was bitten by a larger dog and given up to the shelter because the family didn't want to deal with it. She is a spunky little 5-year- old Chihuahua weighing in at five big pounds. Faith drags her little behind around, trying to catch field mice and loves to shake her little toys like a big dog and toss them in the air. Faith comes with a wheel cart but really doesn't like it; she'd rather do it on her own. Perhaps with someone to give her more therapy, Faith would improve the use of her back legs (she has been through a year of acupuncture). On occasion, Faith will lift up and walk a few steps, but not regularly. She is friendly with other little dogs, but no big dogs can be part of her new family.

Skylar is an 8-year-old, chocolate brown pit bull, a little small at 35-ish pounds. She came to us as a puppy, her front end deformed, but Sky is a spunky little gal who doesn't mind her handicap. She can't take walks but would love to have her own soft and grassy backyard to roll around in and sunbathe (she's really good at that!). Sky is fine with other dogs, but we think, with her physical condition, she would be better as an only dog or with one who isn't active but could be a good companion.
