Some 240 Santa Clarita Valley residents enjoyed a dinner of steak and salmon and applauded local leaders at The Signal’s eighth annual Top 51 Most Influential People celebration Thursday night.
Santa Clarita City Councilman Bob Kellar was named No. 1 most influential person for October 2011-2012 for being an “outspoken, principled and focused leader” and a champion for constituents and the business community.
Each honoree at the event at Robinson Ranch Golf Club was acknowledged during the ceremony. Criteria for the award, as Signal Publisher and Executive Producer Randy Morton outlined, are being “the type of people who can pick up the phone, call the right people and get an apparently undoable task accomplished.”
Dancing followed honoree presentations.
Sponsors for the celebratory evening were EZ Access Self Storage, Congressman Howard “Buck” McKeon, R-Santa Clarita, Robinson Ranch and Yoti Designer Portraits.
