Today is the last day to register to vote in the Nov. 6 election, but it’s not too late as long as it’s done today, state Secretary of State Debra Bowen said this morning.
Voters can register online until midnight by visiting www.RegisterToVote.ca.gov.
Paper applications are available at post offices, public libraries, many government offices, and more, but they must be postmarked or received in person by elections officials no later than midnight tonight.
As of Sept. 7, a total of 17,259,680 Californians were registered to vote. Final registration data — including any last-minute surge of applications — will be published Nov. 2.
