Golf lovers in the Santa Clarita Valley can hone their golf swings while supporting the Castaic School District's efforts to maintain high quality programs for students in the fourth annual Golf Tournament taking place April 4 at Vista Valencia Golf Course.

"The donations received from last year's golf tournament helped fund a new computer lab for Castaic Elementary," said Anna Villano, president of the Castaic Union School District Education Foundation.
The tournament features a shotgun start in a scramble format with creative rules for each hole.

Participants will receive a continental breakfast, a round of golf with a cart, tri-tip or chicken barbecue for lunch, raffles and prizes, goodie bags and a tournament T-shirt.

The registration deadline is March 21, and players can register individually for $125 or $450 per four-player teams. All levels of players are welcome, but players must be at least 18 years old.

Check-in is at 6:30 a.m. and the tournament tees off at 7:30 a.m.

Those who cannot tell the difference between putters and wedges can still participate by being a sponsor, donating raffle prizes and goodie bags or by donating their time as a volunteer.
