A two-vehicle collision occurred Thursday morning on Highway 14 near Escondido Canyon Road, a California Highway Patrol officer confirmed.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m., a red Jeep and a black sedan collided in the northbound lanes of Highway 14 near Escondido Canyon Road. No injuries were reported.

The stretch of freeway between Agua Dulce and Acton has been the scene of several crashes during the past year and was labeled dangerous by both a California Highway Patrol officer and a county Fire Department spokesman.

On June 26, a 19-car pileup on the southbound Highway 14 near Escondido Canyon Road injured 18 people after a big rig barreled into several cars halted during a traffic stop to remove debris in the roadway, officials said at the time.

A motorist was injured in a crash at the same location in August.
