The Santa Clarita Valley Chapter of the California Republican Assembly will be welcoming Santa Clarita Mayor Frank Ferry at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the International House of Pancakes, 24737 Pico Canyon Road in Stevenson Ranch.

Ferry will give a "State of the City" address and speak about the expansion of Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, the Cemex project and Whittaker-Bermite Property clean-up efforts.

The meeting is open to the public, and is free. Dinner is available for $11.
