Local sheriff’s deputies descended on an apartment complex in Canyon Country this afternoon after a neighbor spotted a man trying to open a bedroom window in an apparent burglary, a sheriff’s spokesman said.

About 1:45 p.m., deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station received reports of a bald-headed man trying two windows of a house on Isabella Parkway, said Lt. Tom Bryski.

“He apparently attempted to open two windows,” Bryski said. “But, with the informant yelled at him he ran towards Soledad (Canyon Road).”

Deputies combed the area south of Soledad and west of Rainbow Glen Drive, looking for the suspect last seen running through the complex, Bryski said.

They were advised to look for a suspect described as a man in his early 20’s with a shaved head wearing a black and gray striped “gang-type” shirt.
