First place
I have an awesome Christmas tradition. First on Christmas Eve I go to church and listen to the priest and sing. Then I go to my aunt's house. There I eat and play with my cousins. Finally I go to my grandma's house and open gifts. After that I go home, put the cookies on the table, and put the reindeer food out on my lawn. Then I sleep. The next morning I open my gifts and play with them. My dad then makes us a great breakfast. Later I go to my papa's house and get more gifts. So that is my great Christmas tradition.
I also have a fun New Year's Eve party, too. First we have a nice restaurant dinner. Afterwards we go get ice cream for home. Then we play Monopoly or Life. After the game we watch the countdown to the new year. As you can see my traditions are the best ever.

Second place
My favorite holiday tradition is when I pick out my Christmas tree. I make this my favorite tradition because it is fun to pick out the perfect tree. This can be difficult though. There are short trees and tall trees. Trees with lots of leaves and trees that are missing the whole back side. Some are very expensive. As you can see it is hard to find the perfect tree.
This tradition is very special to me in many ways. First, it is a time to spend with my family. It is also something to get to make a house full of holiday cheer. And after you get the perfect tree you get to decorate it! This is why picking out my Christmas tree is my favorite holiday tradition.

Third place
My favorite holiday traditions are on Christmas, before we eat, my grandpa plays a part where Leins explains Christmas. After, my grandpa always says "dig in." I like this tradition because it reminds us of what Christmas is all about.
Every year on December 26, all the boys in my family go to Simi Valley to have a golf tournament. It's called the Rooney Classic. This my first year going, but ever since my great-grandfather made it, it has been at the same course every year.

My favorite holiday tradition is that on every December we get in our pajamas, drive around and look at Christmas lights. It's really fun when you get to a big street and each house has lights on their house. Sometimes just for fun we go to Baskin Robins. Luckily my family has already planned it for this year.
The reason why I like this tradition so much is that it tells me that Christmas is coming. I've been doing for the past 4 years. But there is one house every year that has lights that blink with music. It's really cool. I love this tradition so much that I wish they put up lights for every holiday. That's my favorite tradition.

What is my favorite holiday tradition? It is going to church for an hour before Christmas Eve. Then we open presents then we go to bed. Then we wake up and open more presents and at night we eat tacos for dinner.
The reason why I do these traditions is because they're fun to do. I like to go to church before Christmas Eve because it's good to learn about how Jesus was born. And eating tacos is just good and fun to make.

My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas because I have a tradition for it. I always get up at 2 a.m. and go downstairs and shake my presents hoping nothing will break. Later, at 6 a.m., I wake up my parents and take them downstairs so we can open our presents. But what I think my favorite part of Christmas is spending time with my family.

My favorite tradition is Christmas because I get to spend most of the time with my family and we get to go to my cousin's house. We usually have a party and I play with my cousin Alex while the rest of the family opens their presents. When I get tired of playing, I go inside and open my presents. We usually stay up until midnight and when it's past midnight we get in our car, drive to Stevenson Ranch, go in our house and go to sleep. When we wake up, we just have our usual lives and enjoy our presents. These are the reasons why I like Christmas.

My favorite family tradition is on Christmas I go back to Houston, Texas, or Bunkie, Louisiana. I usually go and visit my grandma in Texas. In Texas I play with my cousin Keilon. He is now 12 and in the sixth grade. If I go this year, I will bring my Wii. So this is what I do almost every Christmas.

My family doesn't celebrate any holidays or have any holiday traditions because we are Jehovah's Witnesses. We don't celebrate holidays because our religion is unique. My family was not always Jehovah's Witnesses. When I was four, my mom started to study and now (seven years later) this is where we are. I love the way my family is special. We may be a little unusual or unnatural, but we have good reasons for not celebrating holidays. We do celebrate one holiday and that is Jesus' death. We call it "Jesus' Memorial Day." The people of our religion gather around and pass around wine and dry bread. I think that my family is special and that's the way I like it.

My favorite holiday tradition is during Christmas because we all go to my Aunt's house and there is so much food. Also because I get to talk and play with my cousins. I also get a chance to meet new people such as this man named Plaseed. So as you can see, this is why that is my favorite holiday tradition.

Traditions, traditions everywhere. Everybody has their own tradition. My favorite tradition is Eid. Eid is a tradition in Pakistan, Bangladehs, Dubai and other countries. We dress up fancy and go to each other's houses. We get Eid presents and money. It's a lot of fun. We get together with family and friends. Then we play and have fun. We all look and comment on each other's suits. We eat yummy food. Our suits are called "shalwar camise" The moms wear "sarees" At the end of the day we hug and go home and sleep. That's why I love Eid.

My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas because I get to see my relatives that I barely see. I get to cherish moments with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. I also get presents, hot cocoa and I get to take pictures. I love to eat the delicious food and play with cousins and my brother. I also get to talk to aunts, uncles, grandparents and of course, my own parents. I also get to bake Christmas cookies. That is why Christmas is my favorite holiday.

My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas because I like seeing my Christmas tree up, and I like seeing presents under the tree. My family and I always eat eggs and rise on Christmas for breakfast every year. I always go snowboarding at Mammoth on Christmas every year. It is really fun decorating my Christmas tree. My favorite holiday tradition is Passover because all of the family gets together and we play a game called "Find the Matzah." It is really fun. Here's how you play: the kids hide the matzah and one of the parents tries to find it. If they can't find it, all the gets get a Passover present. This year my present was that a tree was planted for me in Israel. We eat, we pray, and we eat some more. We eat Matzah ball soup, which is my favorite soup in the entire world. After we're done eating, we say good-bye and everyone leaves.
