Mountain and desert thunderstorms possible later this week

An upper level low pressure will move into Southern California late this week. Ahead of this disturbance... isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday night through Thursday night over the mountains and deserts. Brief heavy rain and gusty winds are possible with thunderstorms.

Also Wednesday night through Thursday... widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible in the San Joaquin Valley...

mainly south of Fresno County. Rainfall amounts will be very light...

less than a tenth of an inch.

Tonight Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday A slight chance of showers after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. Light and variable wind becoming south southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
