Canyon senior wide receiver Drew Wolitarsky broke the all-time California prep receiving yards record on Friday night at Canyon High School.

Wolitarsky broke former Taft High receiver Steve Smith’s (2000-2002) record of 4,486 with a 21-yard reception with

7:36 to play in the second quarter against the Golden Valley Grizzlies.

It was his fifth catch of the day and 70th yard.
