Greetings from Newhall,

I hope you are having a great week thus far, and are keeping cool. During the above dates Newhall had 11 reported part-1 crimes. Of these part-1 crimes Newhall saw (6) residential burglaries, (1) rape, (1) robbery, (1) aggravated assault, (1) incident of shoplifting, and (1) petty theft.

A female juvenile alleged she was raped by a male juvenile acquaintance after meeting him in the parking lot of a commercial business. The investigation is currently being handled by LASD – Special Victim’s Bureau and no further information is available (ref -13616).

During the robbery incident a female victim alleged after telling the suspect she was in love with another man the suspect forcefully grabbed the victim’s IPhone and left the area with it. The suspect, a Canyon Country resident, was arrested for robbery and for an outstanding arrest warrant. (ref -13779).

During the shoplifting incident, two males entered a store located in the 23400 block of Lyons Avenue. The males ran out of the store with an 18 pack of beer without paying for it. (ref -13763).

Numerous arrests have been made in Newhall (Zone-6) during the past week. In one incident a suspect was arrested for petty theft and vandalism after he allegedly cut a gas line and stole 5 gallons of gasoline from the victim’s vehicle. The suspect was booked at Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station. (ref -13665).
