The motorist arrested Sunday for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle was identified Monday as Jesus Trujillo, 31, of Kent Lane in Canyon Country.

The unemployed man is being held on $35,000 bail.

Trujillo was allegedly talking on a cellphone and driving a car with a cracked windshield when he was pulled over on Pleasantdale Street in Canyon Country, Sgt. Brian Allen said Sunday.

When he told the deputy he had a gun in the car, the deputy pulled her semi-automatic pistol and held him at gunpoint until he could be arrested, officials said.
