'Wit' - The Repertory East Playhouse, located at 24266 San Fernando Road, Newhall, will continue its 2008 Main stage season with the 1999 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, "Wit," written by Margaret Edson and sponsored by the Serve Pro, through April 5. 2008 AT&T Champions Classic -
The popular golf event raises funds for local charities, including Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. The 2008 AT&T Champions Classic has returned to Valencia Country Club through March 16. Tickets for the event are now available at Henry Mayo Health Foundation's office and can be ordered by calling (661) 253-8062. Children 16 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Team Trivia - The Newhall Educators' Family Fund (NEFF) is sponsoring a Team Trivia fundraiser in the ballroom of the Hyatt Valencia on March 13 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Judges will include Marsha McLean, Laurene Weste, Patty Rasmussen and Bob and Diane Benjamin. This will be a fun evening of playing seven rounds of trivia. Teams are made up of a cross section of Newhall School District Employees. Knights of Columbus St. Patrick's Day Race - On Saturday, March 15, the Knights of Columbus will sponsor their 28th annual 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) run. The race starts at 9 a.m. in the old oil town of Mentryville at the west end of Pico Canyon Road in Newhall. The race will be run entirely on trails in park property. Race entry forms are available in the Runners Lane shoe store on Bouquet Canyon Road (at Soledad junction) in Santa Clarita. Preregistration is $21 or $27 with a T-shirt. St. Patrick's Day Celebration - On March 15 the Knights of Columbus will host their 32nd annual St. Patrick's Day celebration at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Hall on Lyons Avenue. There will be traditional Irish dances and music. A corned beef and cabbage dinner will be served, accompanied by Irish soda bread. Tickets are $25 or $40 for two adults. Carousel Ranch Fundraiser - Carousel Ranch will host a multi-purpose fundraiser at 34289 Rocking Horse Rd., Agua Dulce, on Saturday March 15 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. There will be a bake sale, used horse tack sale and open house. Funds raised will be used to help send 18 riders to the Annual State Championship Horseshow for riders with special needs, on April 19 and 20. Carousel Ranch is a non profit organization that provides therapeutic riding lessons to children and young adults with special needs. For more information call (661) 268-8010.

Free Dance Camp - Star Dance center will be holding an Easter Basket Drive/Free Dance Camp Saturday on March 15, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for children ages 2 - 12. This event will be held at Star dance Center, located at 24264 Lyons Ave. in Newhall. Each participant is asked to bring a filled Easter basket, ready to be given to a needy child. Plein Air at Rancho Camulos
April 1 will be a Spring Plein Air Artist's Day at Rancho Camulos from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Artists are invited to spend the day at the museum to capture their impressions of the rancho on canvas, paper, film, and other media. 'My Fair Lady' Auditions Director Patti Finley will be holding auditions for "My Fair Lady" on Saturday March 15 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and on Sunday March 16 from noon to 4 p.m. Auditions will be at the CTG Playhouse, 24242 Main St., Newhall. No appointment is necessary, just show up between the times mentioned. The entire audition process should take about an hour. All roles are open and actors should be able to play at least 20 years old. Be prepared with at least 16 bars of a show tune (preferably not from "My Fair Lady") and bring your own accompaniment CD or tape.
There is no accompaniment provided. This is a large-scale musical with several speaking and/or principal roles as well as some featured dancing parts. There are no children in this production. For more information call the Canyon Theatre Guild box office (661) 799-2702.

Summerhill Villa Open House/Alzheimer's

Komen Race for the Cure
The Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center is forming a team to enter the Komen Race for the Cure breast cancer event on March 15 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Born to be Wild
The West Ranch Dance team, which consists of 20 girls, will present their annual Dance Show on Saturday March 29 at the West Ranch Gymnasium. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10. The theme for this year's show is Born to be Wild. The dance team will present all the dances they completed with this season. Boys and Girls Club Evening of Magic
The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley presents An Evening of Magic fundraiser on Saturday March 29. The local International Brotherhood of Magicians will offer two performances that day, with the doors opening at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. for an hour of close-up magic, followed by a two-hour stage show (2 p.m. and 7 p.m.). Community Forum
Long-time supporters of the SCV Emergency Winter Shelter, the Unitarian Universalists of Santa Clarita Valley have invited Tim Davis, executive director of the Santa Clarita Community Development Corporation (SCCDC), to speak after their church services on Sunday, March 30. All members of the community are welcome to attend. This Sunday Forum is scheduled from 12 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market St., in Newhall.
