The late President Harry S. Truman is quoted as saying, “The buck stops here.”

His meaning was clear. He wanted our citizens to know that he was the final decision maker and he was willing to take responsibility for how things went. He was an honorable, up-front individual.

I would like Congressman Howard “Buck” McKeon to know that because of his inaction to block the Cemex mine, the quote will be, “The Buck stops year.”
