FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — A 20-year-old Fresno man has been arrested in the death of his friend, a popular high school football player whom police allege was shot during a Russian Roulette-style attack.

Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer says Terrance Tyrone Lee loaded one bullet in the chamber of a revolver, spun the cylinder and then fired it twice at Edison High School senior Marquis Sutton. The second shot killed Sutton, an 18-year-old wide receiver and defensive back at Edison High School.

Sutton and three friends were at Lee's apartment when Lee pulled out the gun. Dyer says Lee laughed as he fired the first shot, and that when Sutton told him the game wasn't funny, Lee fired the second time.

The chief says Lee and another person carried Sutton's body outside and told police he was victim of a drive-by shooting.
