A man found dead in a car in Canyon Country on Sunday has been identified as 28-year-old Daniel Glass. His home town was unknown.

Investigators with the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Department are awaiting the results of tests, including toxicology tests, before determining a cause of death, said department spokesman Joseph Cronin.
The death is ruled accidental, Cronin said.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, a person walking on Lost Springs Road discovered the man’s body, Lt. Fred Corral of the Coroner’s Department. said Monday. Glass’s body was believed to have been in the parked car for about a week.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Glass would have turned 29 in November.

His family lived in Rancho Cucamonga for a time in early ‘90s and, prior to that, in Covina.

Investigators with the coroners office, however, are still trying to find out where he lived most recently.

Deputies at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station say Glass was a transient who lived in his car and had a girlfriend who lives near Lost Springs Road.

“The girlfriend showed up when we were there and helped ID him based on the car,” said Lt. Tom Bryski.

Deputies responding to the call Sunday found a gray Toyota Camry parked on Lost Springs Road between Blackbush Drive and Silverstream Drive with the body inside.
