Lt. Cheryl MacWillie of the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner identified the young victim as Malek Osman.

On Friday, at 7:34 p.m., paramedics of the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to Dune Lane, near

Oak Springs Road in Canyon Country for report of a girl who drowned in a swimming pool,  Inspector Bernard Peters told The Signal.

“She was transferred by air shortly after 8 p.m.,” he said.
