Here's the latest direct from the Sheriff's log at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station:

Motorbike stolen from Saugus home
Three suspects attempted to steal a 2003 Kawasaki KLR650 from a Saugus home on March 4th. However the motorbike's owner caught the suspects in the act as they tried to load the Kawasaki onto their Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

When the victim shouted at them, two of the suspects fled on foot down Garzota Drive, where the attempted theft occurred. The victim convinced the third suspect to help him take the motorbike out of the truck and into the home.

Immediately thereafter, the victim went into his home to call 911. When he returned outside, the third suspect drove away in the Silverado.

The Kawasaki was valued at more than $3,000.

Major appliances taken at residence
A resident reported $3,150 worth of appliances stolen from their home in Canyon Country on the evening of March 7.

The appliances were allegedly stolen after 5 p.m. on March 7, though it was reported to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station after 10 a.m. on March 8.
