I just read Howard “Buck” McKeon’s “Clearing of red tape needed for recovery” (Sept. 10), and while I applaud his efforts to improve our jobs situation, I would like him to know that if the Cemex mine becomes a reality in Canyon Country, he will never get my vote.
I say this because, in this matter at least, it is clear that he put loyalty to the party ahead of the best interests of the people of Santa Clarita.
Buck once said, “The mine would not be the end of the world.” He is correct, but it should be the end of any support for Buck by citizens of this city.
