The Santa Clarita Elks Lodge, 17766 Sierra Highway, Canyon Country, will roast Carl Goldman, 5:30 p.m. cocktails, 7 p.m. roast, to benefit the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers. The 2009 sweetheart couple is Dale and Tamara Donohoe. The evening includes dinner and dancing with "Crush," an eight-piece band performing everything from Motown to Madonna. Feb. 21
The AMGEN Tour of California will bring the drama and excitement of a professional bicycle stage race to the Santa Clarita Valley from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McBean Parkway and Town Center Drive in Valencia. The world's top professional teams will compete over an eight-day, 700-mile race with Santa Clarita hosting the start of Stage 7 from Santa Clarita to Pasadena. Info: www.santa-clarita.com/tourofca.
