A man allegedly making terrorist threats was arrested by local detectives around 5 p.m. Monday.

The Bristol Police Department in Connecticut informed the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station of a blogger, linked to a local address, posting about murdering children.

The man allegedly posted that he was “watching kids and did not mind murdering them,” according to a sheriff’s release. He also referenced the Aurora, Colo., shooting.

The suspect who posted the blog was linked to a Valencia residence in the 23000 block of Edenton Place, which overlooks Santa Clarita Elementary School and Arroyo Seco Junior High.

The Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s Juvenile Intervention Team conducted a surveillance of the area while detectives gathered information that led to a search warrant.

Detectives found several firearms inside the suspect’s house after serving the warrant.

The man was taken into custody and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on Monday evening.

The suspect’s name will not be released until Bristol Police and Yale University Police confirm that there are no other suspects.
