Two men pleaded innocent Friday to 13 counts each in the beating and abduction of an Agua Dulce woman and the attempted kidnapping of her adult son earlier this week.

Clyde Richards, 55, of Los Angeles, and Collin Foster, 56, of Los Angeles, stand accused of Wednesday attack of a woman who lived at the 30000 block of Briggs Road in Agua Dulce.

The suspects allegedly beat the woman and then kidnapped her 23-year-old son while the mother was unconscious, according to sheriff’s officials.

After the woman recovered from her assailant’s attack, she could not get into contact with her son and then notified police, according to the report.

The two men allegedly abducted the son and fled south on Highway 14 in a Nissan Pathfinder. They were stopped by Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s deputies and arrested. The son was found hiding in a nearby ravine.

The two suspects face four kidnapping charges, three counts of assault with a firearm, two false imprisonment charges, two counts of criminal threats, a second degree robbery charge and a possession of marijuana with the intent to sell.

Both suspects are expected to re-appear at the Michael Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse Sept. 26. They are being held on $2 million bail each.
