Two cars collided head-on in Newhall on Saturday, sending one driver to the hospital for treatment.

The collision between a Volvo and a Chevrolet Explorer occurred about 3:30 p.m. on Wiley Canyon Road and Canerwell Street.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics loaded the driver of the Volvo into an ambulance to be taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.

The driver of the pickup truck was treated at the scene and declined to be taken to the hospital.

Sheriff’s traffic division deputies were investigating.
