DANVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan has arrived in the San Francisco Bay area as he continues a West Coast fundraising tour.
The Wisconsin congressman arrived at a private home in suburban Danville Saturday morning where he attended a private breakfast fundraiser.
Video from KTVU-TV showed Ryan standing on an outside terrace of home chatting with supporters and posing for pictures.
The morning stop in Danville comes ahead of fundraising dinner set for Saturday night at the Fresno Convention Center's Valdez Hall.
Tickets for the Fresno event cost $1,000 per person and up to $25,000 per couple for a private reception.
Several groups are planning a protest outside the center.
After the stops in California, Ryan is scheduled to head to fundraisers in Portland, Ore. and Seattle on Monday.
